Julie Wainwright is the CEO and cofounder of AHARA, the personalized weight loss and nutrition company. She founded The RealReal in June 2011, bringing luxury consignment online and changing the way people buy and sell high-end luxury across all categories. Wainwright raised sizable venture capital, built a membership in the tens of millions and then in 2019, took the company public as one of only 23 women in history to found and lead a company to an IPO at the time.

In addition to sustainability partnerships with Gucci, Burberry, and Stella McCartney, The RealReal is the first luxury member of the Ellen MacArthur Foundation’s CE100 USA and the first resale member of the UN Climate Change's Fashion Industry Charter for Climate Action.

She has received several prestigious industry awards and accolades including as one of Entrepreneur’s 50 Most Daring Entrepreneurs, Fast Company’s Most Creative People, CNBC’s Disruptor 50, Inc. Magazine’s 100 Female Founders List, and Forbes’s inaugural 50 Successful Women Over 50 list. Tanya Rhone brings over 40 years of experience as a business professional, specializing in marketing and strategic planning. She has also expanded her expertise as a leadership and organizational development consultant.

Tanya sharpened her marketing skills at leading Fortune 500 companies, including Starbucks Coffee Company, The Clorox Company, Paragon Trade Brands, and Weyerhaeuser. Throughout her career, she has developed business strategies, managed marketing efforts, and successfully launched several new products.

As a consultant, Tanya has guided marketing and new product development initiatives for a diverse range of clients, from small businesses and startups to large corporations and nonprofits. She has written numerous marketing and business plans, with expertise in market evaluation, competitive analysis, consumer behavior research, marketing planning, and brand development.

Tanya holds a bachelor’s degree in psychology from the University of Oregon and a master’s degree in business from the University of Southern California. She is also the author of Bad at Work: The Dysfunctional Shit and How to Get Past It, a book focused on navigating workplace challenges.Originally from Los Angeles, Tanya spent most of her adult life in Seattle and now resides in Chicago.
